Career Navigation™ is made up of a number of elements. The actual mix we recommend will be determined by the output of our initial free consultation meeting with you. Ultimately you will decide which elements you wish to use and with what weighting to reflect you own needs.
Your initial meeting will be with a Personal Career Manager who will go on to support you throughout the programme. The service is discreet and confidential. The following elements are available:
- Self-awareness – we concentrate on identifying and quantifying your skills, abilities, ambitions, motivation and style. This is achieved through one-to-one discussion and where appropriate, psychometric tools and feedback from those. The aim is to liberate possibilities by removing preconceptions, challenging constraints and mining your achievements for what they say about why you have been successful. It is this that you are ‘selling’ to the next ‘customer’ for your skills. This allows for all possibilities from returning to a like-for-like role, through to the complete transferability of your skills.
- Personal Executive Coach – a professional executive coach is assigned to most clients through the self-awareness process to help them evaluate their current situation and attitude to the future. By opening your thinking to new possibilities as well as defining the parameters of the reality check, it is possible to focus on your best route forward.
- ME+™ - developing your ‘personal brand’ to suit the opportunities you have decided to pursue. ME+™ can cover everything from the development of your top-line ‘personal brochure’ and tweaking that for individual opportunities, through to personal presentation and communication skills. If international relocation is on your radar then coaching in cultural awareness is a vital part of what we do.
- Personal Research – we can tailor this from fundamental desk research through to your own Personal Executive Researcher identifying target employers, target individuals in a company or sector and trying to secure face to face meetings if required. This activity is driven by the initial development of your own ‘briefing’ document compiled in the self-awareness stage, which guides the research activity.
- Interview Incubator™ - no matter what your level, practice makes perfect. The World’s greatest sportsmen take nothing for granted and practice every day – you should too. We will run a mock interview, geared to your research briefing. This robust process will give you significant insight into how you come across, both your body language and your words – ‘because the words really matter’, as a famous broadcaster once said.
- Brokered Meetings – a unique aspect of our service is our ability to connect you with industry ‘insiders’ who have recent valuable insights to a sector or company. This enables you to be better prepared and more knowledgeable about an organisation before you meet it.
- In-House Briefings – these are held from time to time on subjects as diverse as Interim Executive Management through to life as a Non-Executive Director.
- Venture Capital Markets – if investment finance is required, we can provide access to the Venture Capital Market and individuals who have expertise in leveraging your business case to maximum effect.
